What is your role & main responsibilities at Aurora Live? 

I am a Sales Team Manager and Account Manager for Germany. I lead four sales managers in our new Barcelona office and host onboarding sessions, where I share my learnings from the last three years with new starters, which I really enjoy.  

When did you joined Aurora Live? 

I joined Aurora Live 3 years ago in August 2022. 

What do your working days look like? 

My days are a mix of leadership and hands-on sales work. I have one-to-one meetings and shadow sessions to support my team, and I still do my own sales: researching new potential clients, reaching out via calls or emails to book meetings, holding sales conversations, and closing deals. What I enjoy most are my calls with existing clients. In those conversations, I ask deeper questions to understand their goals and challenges so we can grow the partnership. Decision-makers often really open up (also privately), and we work closely together to make things succeed. I really value being seen as a trusted advisor in those moments. 

What do you enjoy most about working at Aurora Live? 

What I enjoy most about working at Aurora Live is the culture. It is high-performing, rewarding, and truly collaborative. We work hard to achieve our goals together and celebrate even the smallest successes across all functions. I have never worked anywhere, where I felt more appreciated or where my work had a greater impact. If you have an idea to improve something, you are encouraged and empowered to try it out. 

How has Aurora Live helped and encouraged your career growth? 

Aurora Live has supported my growth from the beginning. I had no prior sales experience, but the four-week onboarding gave me everything I needed to get started. Later, the post-onboarding phase helped me go deeper into common challenges. In 2023, my Team Manager encouraged me to explore the Team Manager path. It felt daunting at first, but Aurora Live empowers you to make brave decisions. Even if things did not go perfectly from the start, it was seen as a learning opportunity rather than a mistake, which has helped me grow immensely. 

How does Aurora Live support you in overcoming challenges in Sales? 

We have a Monday Morning and a Friday Afternoon Meeting with the entire German Sales Team to set goals and discuss cases. This gives us country-specific support from senior colleagues. In addition, we have multiple trainings on our sales methodology and best practices for account management, led by internal and external trainers. We also have a "high-performing peer group for sales", where us top performers share client cases and discuss how we overcame challenges. The combination of teamwork, training, and peer exchange makes it easier to tackle cases and continuously improve. 

What skills or qualities do you think are essential to succeed in Sales at Aurora Live? 

To succeed in Sales at Aurora Live, you need to be motivated, determined, resilient, persuasive, creative, and charismatic. A sale only happens when both logic and emotion are addressed: the facts need to make sense, and the client needs to feel a connection with you. Emotional intelligence is essential. You need to ask the right questions, challenge clients to think further, listen carefully, and pay attention to their body language (even through a teams meeting). 🙂 

What advice would you give to someone who is considering working here? 

If you are considering joining Aurora Live, come with the right mindset: be curious, driven, and ready to grow. You do not need sales experience. What matters is your willingness to learn and step out of your comfort zone. Reach out, ask questions, and use the support around you. Aurora Live is a company that aims for huge growth, so ask yourself if that excites you. If you have a growth mentality and show initiative, people will support you. We work hard, but you are never on your own. Collaboration, honest & constructive feedback, and learning from mistakes are part of the culture. If you are resilient, positive, and motivated to develop yourself, you will not only succeed but enjoy the journey. 😊
