Pit Kies' Story
What is your role & main responsibilities at Aurora Live?
I'm an Account Executive at Aurora Live, focused on the German market. I work closely with IT, cybersecurity, fintech, and AI/data companies, helping them get in front of the C-level decision-makers who shape strategy and budget at Europe's top companies. For a lot of these companies, the hardest part of growth isn't having a great product being, it’s getting the right person's attention at the right time. That is where I come in: understanding what a company is trying to achieve and connecting them to the executives who can genuinely move things forward for them.
What motivated you to join Aurora Live?
I wanted to be part of something that genuinely changes how companies grow and not just another sales role. Aurora Live sits at an interesting intersection: we're not selling a product; we're opening doors to relationships that would otherwise take years to build. That impact on our clients' businesses is what drew me in.
What makes the German market unique?
The German market is direct! Companies expect precision and real knowledge, not a generic pitch, and that makes the work genuinely challenging in a good way. What I enjoy most is how diverse the landscape is: so many interesting companies and people, each solving a different kind of problem in their own way. It keeps every conversation fresh and keeps you on your toes.
What do you appreciate most about working in Sales at Aurora Live?
Seeing the moment a client realizes the door we've opened for them was worth it! A conversation that leads to a partnership, a deal, or a shift in their strategy. It's rewarding to know the work directly translates into real business outcomes for the companies we support, not just numbers on our own dashboard.
How does Aurora Live support you in overcoming challenges in Sales?
The company invests heavily in making sure we understand our clients' industries deeply because the better we understand their world, the better the connections we can make for them. That support isn't just internal coaching; it also means having and transmitting clear values and being open to giving and receiving tough feedback.
What has stood out the most in your experience at Aurora Live so far?
What's stood out most is how much the team backs each other up. Problems get solved together, not passed around. There's also a real honesty in how we deal with partners, even when the easy answer would be to just tell them what they want to hear. And nobody's precious about "the way we've always done it”, if something new might work better, people are genuinely open to trying it. All of that adds up to a place where you feel like you're winning for the client, not just closing a deal.
What advice would you give to someone considering working here?
Come with curiosity, and you'll love it here! Every company you talk to is solving something different, and that variety never gets old. Yes, the market pushes you to really know your stuff, but that's honestly part of what makes the job satisfying, you can feel yourself getting sharper. And you're never figuring it out alone; the team here genuinely wants to see you succeed and will back you up along the way. It's a great place to grow.
